find.download.com appears every time I open Mozilla. It sucks. Everytime I click
on a link it goes to find.download.com. It sucks. I'm wondering if this is a
guerilla marketing attemp at trying to completely erase my mind. It sucks.
I tried clearing out all cookies. I tried reseting the home page and all
preferences that I thought would help...but no justice. This is probably a
simple thing because I am not a developer by any means but this is awfully
annoying and I would hate for such a cool product to get a bad rap for guerilla
marketing tactics.
Thanks. Any help on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. This kind
of weirdness with find.download.com will result in me uninstalling Mozilla very
soon...as well as anyone else trying Mozilla out who has the same problem. I
would consider this high priority. Feel free to email me w/ any questions.
Have a great day.
Mike

reporter (Mike) - what is the build ID of the mozilla you are using? what
platform are you on?
this sounds like bug 128322, which sends the browser off to "http://find", which
is then auto-completed to www.find.com, and you end up at that site. if it is,
then upgrading to version 1.1 will fix it.

version 1.0 indicates that this is the bug I mentioned... an upgrade should fix it.
