Steps to reproduce:
I have gfx.webrender.all enabled with Firefox 82 on Linux. An issue I've noticed is that a square/rectangle to the top left of widgets sometimes is invisible. I'll attach a screenshot as an example.

I suspect this is a dupe of bug 1655584 / bug 1676164. If you are on X11 (and not XWayland), can you try the latest nightly and confirm whether or not you still see the problem?

Sorry for disappearing after reporting. I expect that this indeed was a duplicate of bug 1655584 as you suspected, since the screen captures in that look just like the artefacts I had been seeing. I've just got the v84 update installed today and although it's early days, it seems like the problem is solved, so this can be closed. :)
