Steps to reproduce:

Upgraded from v68.x to v78.2.x

Actual results:

(It looks like, that) elapsed appointments, that have been created in v68, get lost in v78. Also (and even worse), repeating appointments, that have been created in v68, are deleted, after they have been elapsed once.

Expected results:

Nothing should happen - the appointments should be reserved.

I am having similar problem. Events in next 1-4 days randomly deleted. Mostly repeating events. Restarted w/o add-ons worked for 2 days and then reoccurred.
Windows 10, Thunderbird v. 78.5, 32 bit

Rekeyed the end of this week and the end of next week. Closed app. Opened aprrox 2 hrs later. Repeating event today just keyed is gone, tomorrow, next Thursday and Friday all events gone.

So I will rekey and print for December and back to paper until there is a fix.

additionally - it is not creating reminders - I have one reminder for probably 100 events in the next 14 days

No, not the same bug: In the description of bug 1664731 is said, that description and color of the event get lost, when editing and that theresult is a 'blank' event. In my case the complete event is deleted, after it has occured once, no matter, if it was edited or not. Maybe there is a connection between both bugs, maybe not. But it's definitely not the same behavior.

Calendar was stable for 3-4 days. Upgraded to 78.5.1 to hopefully solve other problem (emails have not downloaded from Comacast for 5-6 days).
However, upgrade deleted tasks for Saturday & Sunday this week. Also did not resolve the email download issue. Will need to find alternative until issues resolved.

Going to dupe this to bug 1664731. This bug isn't likely to make progress.
