Affected versions

  • 84.0b4, 85.0a1(2020-11-21)

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10, macOS 10.15, Ubuntu 20;

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox, access any page;
  2. press CTRL+P to trigger print preview;
  3. Click on the More settings button;
  4. Custom scale, set it to 200;
  5. Press on the caret pointing up for the scale value to increment it;

**Expected result / Enhancement suggestion **

  • carets should be disabled to indicate min/max values cannot be bypassed (down for 0 and up for 200);

Actual result

  • no clear indicator on the actual caret-buttons that min/max values are reached.

Regression range

  • will check and provide one asap, most likely not a regression.

Additional notes

  • S3/S4 as suggested severity, not a blocker but would clarify for the user the max value;
  • attached screenshot to illustrate the issue.
Has Regression Range: --- → no
Has STR: --- → yes

This is not a regression.

The spinner was implemented this way in Bug 1659463

Moving to Toolkit::Printing since this is a custom widget in the print preview, but I don't see the arrow buttons being disabled in the regular number input either. This might actually be a widgets bug.

Moving things to 88, cause we're mostly on Proton these days…
