1679651 - Jumpy scrolling in the latest version of Firefox.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0

Steps to reproduce:

Installed Firefox 83.0 update.

Actual results:

Scrolling became too jumpy in the latest version of Firefox browser. I haven't see this thing in previous versions and one of the reasons why I like Firefox more than Chrome is smooth scrolling. Now it's completely broken. I attached 2 videos describing it - scrolling in Tor and in Firefox on the same site. In Tor scrolling is still fine although it works on the same base as Firefox.

Expected results:

Scrolling in Firefox should be smooth as is was before.

Can you try setting the following prefs in about:config and seeing if it helps?

general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMinMS -> 200
general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMaxMS -> 400
general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.migrationPercent -> 100

Scrolling became fine with these settings. But can it be set as default? It's not so comfortable to change it everytime.

Why do you need to change it "every time"? Once you change the values they should stay as what you change them to.

Why do you need to change it "every time"? Once you change the values they should stay as what you change them to.

I just wish Mozilla revert back old scrolling. There was no need to change it from normal to this new.
