Steps to reproduce:
Installed certain addon's one by one. To see if the issue still persisted. It happened even when no addon's were installed. Left 4 tabs open, Imgur/Reddit/DnD-Beyond/Gmail
Actual results:
Memory usage with minimal tabs open, goes up well over 2.5GB.

It's quite hard to tell where the leak happened.
From the memory report, there are three URLs of the four, interestingly I don't see gmail's process there.

I am assuming that a component could not be provided because it's not clear where the leak happens. @Hiro, can you confirm that? Otherwise, do you think there is a component that could accommodate this bug?
I would like to investigate it and try to find its cause, but I am lacking some information on this matter. Do you think you could instruct me on how I could do that?

There's only about 1.2GB of memory accounted for in that memory report. Maybe there's a Gmail process that didn't report because it timed out? Hard to say.

Yes I couldn't get the memory log when the usage was at 15gb. And it seems to be semi random when it happens but it is an ongoing issue. Right now with 5 tabs open-- Imgur/reddit/CDProjektrd/Gmail/this page -- I am sitting at 1.5gb usage. I had to force close firefox earlier to restart.

Alright I got it again with 2 tabs open. Sitting at 4.87gb ram.

Thanks for the new reports. It looks like there's a ton of memory for JS classes, similar to bug 1675837 and some other bugs we've seen for Facebook.

Currently we have many other bugs which are similar in nature (all blocking Bug 1683140).
We are in a position where each bug is hard to investigate, because this requires a lot of back-and-forth between the user and developers requesting information.
We are looking into these issue in a more general way to evaluate our existing tooling and improve on it, ideally something as simple as about:memory but as refined as the CC&GC logs / DMD reports without having to upload multiple hundred MB, and even with this information it is not obvious what the issue can be.
If you are able to reproduce it easily, and are willing to help us with better reports, then I will write a document where you can follow the steps to use the existing tools that we already have.
