[Prerequisites]:

• Have a new Firefox profile.
• See this document for the environment variable needed so you can enroll in the experiment.
• Copy this user.js file in the profile folder so you can enroll in the Amazon en-CA experiment.

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites.
2. Click inside the Awesomebar and click the "Amazon - Sponsored" suggestion.
3. Open a new tab and click inside the Awesomebar.
4. Hover the "Amazon - Sponsored" suggestion.
5. Observe the behavior.

[Expected results]:

• The "Switch to Tab" string is displayed after the dash.

[Actual results]:

• Nothing is displayed after the dash.

[Notes]:

• The issue is NOT reproducible if the Amazon website is opened by clicking the top site. The issue is only reproducible if the Amazon website is opened from the Awesomebar.
• The issue is reproducible for all 3 experiments (FR, AU and CA).
• Attached a screen recording of the issue.

I have verified this issue on the latest Nightly 86.0a1 (Build ID: 20210103213448) on Windows 10 x64, macOS 10.15.6 and Linux Mint 20.

• The "Switch to Tab" string is correctly displayed if the Amazon Sponsored website is already opened in a tab from the Awesomebar.

In order to verify this issue, I have enrolled in all 3 experiments (FR, AU and CA) on the latest Nightly 86.0a1 build using the Normandy stage server.
