When I try to set up a new mail account, the first page of the Account Wizard asks me to select type type of account, but there are no options shown. Next button goes nowhere.

Reporter, I have tested this with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030725 and I have not been able to reproduce the problem. Could you please try and test with a current mozillla version like 1.4 or 1.5a ?
I'm closing this as worksforme, as there has been no response from the reporter. Feel free to reopen if you still see the problem
