Steps to reproduce:
Navigate to bing.com
Search for anything
Click any of the results
Actual results:
and a new tab opens for each result clicked
Expected results:
The existing tab should be used. Does not occur in Firefox using Google search. Does not occur in Chrome using Bing or Google search. Only occurs in Firefox using Bing search. Started happening very recently.

I was unable to reproduce the issue you've reported in any of the latest Firefox versions on my machine win 10. I will attach a video with my results.
Please test if the issue occurs in safe mode. Here is a link that can help you do that:

Problem remains for both suggestions.
Attached video 1 is after Help -> Restart with Add-ons Disabled -> Safe Mode
Attached video 2 is running under a new "Test" profile.
This is also occurring on multiple PC's for me.

I still cannot reproduce this issue, but I noticed on the reporter video that after search at the beginning of the each link there is displayed a green checkbox that can be caused by an external app. @mattlauer8@outlook.com, can you please tell me what can cause the green checkbox?
I will move this over to a component so developers can take a look over it. If this is not the correct component please feel free to change it to an appropriate one. I have to mention that

Hi, please try this:
- Visit bing.com
- Click the three-bars at the top-right of the page (next to the sign-in/rewards buttons).
- Select "Settings" at the top.
- Select "More"
- You should be on the "search" part of settings. There's a "Result" section
- In the result section, check that "Open links from search results in a new tab or window" is unchecked.

I discovered that the green checkboxes are caused by Bitdefender Search Advisor. Here are the steps to turn it off: https://antivirusinsider.com/use-bitdefender-search-advisor/ and please folllow the steps from comment 7.

Hi Mark,
I'm embarrassed. The setting was the cause. I did search for a resolution to the issue before contacting support (tried bing and google) and no one else seemed to be having this issue.
I didn't even think this would be a setting (a bad idea for a setting for sure) and to default it ON... (shame on bing).
Anyway, thanks for the assistance.
