Details

(Whiteboard: [QA-not-reproducible])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:84.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/84.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the "following" URL of my Twitter profile (URL that ends with "/following").
  2. Type Page Down several times to go to the end.
  3. Select all.
  4. Copy (either via Ctrl-C or via the contextual menu).
  5. Paste the text somewhere else (e.g. either in Emacs or in some app running in GNOME Terminal).

Actual results:

Only some part of the selected text was copied. This could be seen with the small number of lines and also by searching for text that was selected (the searched text wasn't present).

Expected results:

The whole selected text should have been copied.

Hey Vincent,
I tried reproducing this issue on the latest versions of Firefox Nightly 93.0a1 (08-18-2021), beta 92.0b5 and release 91.0.1 but it copies the whole selection for me.

Can you test the issue while in Safe Mode? You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .
Also a fresh new profile could help. You can find more about creating a new profile here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile .
If possible, you can test this issue on the nightly build as well. Download the build from : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ .

I have still the same issue with 93.0a1 (2021-08-19) (64-bit), tested from a private home directory (so none of my usual settings could be read).

This issue also affects "Find in page" (Ctrl-F).
