Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:85.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/85.0
Steps to reproduce:
about:logins
Actual results:
for about 1200 credentials it takes a while for the page and list to populate. There is no indication that the list of logins is being put together for display on the page. On a slower computer it can take about a minute and it makes it appear that FireFox has frozen loading the logins credentials management page.
Expected results:
When about:logins is invoked, there should be an indication that the page is loading and being populated with login credentials. Something like a percent indication would be useful.

This sounds like the same root cause as bug 1658766? In that bug we found that on Windows, some users/profiles are taking a long time to decrypt the logins. Regardless of the cause, I think I agree that we should indicate what is going on to the user.
Yes. I agree. It does look like it is. Normal install of FF on my laptop.
CPU is Intel64 Family 6 Model 158 Stepping 9 GenuineIntel ~2808 Mhz. Laptop clocks it at a maximum of 3520 Mhz. CPU performance configuration is baked into the BIOS by manufacturer. Laptop has no over-clocking settings.
I've reported my findings to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1658766
