User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Hi, I tried to send a MSFT Word document (ca. 110 K) using the "send to" function in MSFT Word. Mozilla is set up as the MAPI mailer. Sending this attachment took forever! I stopped it in the middle and sent it using Pegasus, instead. The data upload was 500% faster using Pegasus to mail the attachment. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a document in MSFT Word 2000. 2. Use the "send to" function in Word to invoke Mozilla Mail. 3. Send the mail with the attachment as usual. It is SLOWWWWWW! Actual Results: It took two minutes or more to send a 110 K attachment. I stopped it in the middle and used Pegasus instead. It took less that 30 seconds to send the document as an attachment. Expected Results: Only Heaven knows. Send the document 500% faster than it does!
Hi. I found out what SOME of the trouble was. From using the last version of Mozilla, I had trouble with the multiple SMTP servers that got set up when I changed ISP's. Thus when I went to "advanced" to check, there were two smtp's showing. So I deleted this version of mozilla, deleted the mozilla data from windows/application data, and re-installed from scratch. That helped! But now, it receives mail fine - but when I try to send a small test message, it never stops sending! I tried to send a 0.7K test message to myself, and it sended up sending 50K or more before I stopped it. Why would it send so much data for such a tiny message? I am really mystified. Right now, I don't think it is satisfactory for sending messages. Can you help with this? Would a complete re-install again help? Bob Riley
