RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1554096

People

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:84.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/84.0

Steps to reproduce:

I noticed that some network activities are not reported in the development tools tab. I can't provide a public example, but I was able to find a video url in Google Chrome (the stream download was clearly reported and updated) but not in Firefox. So, it may be related to obfuscation.

Is the list of network activities complete? Or is there a way to hide some activities?

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

Component: Untriaged → Networking
Product: Firefox → Core

I suspect that depends on the use case. Sometimes cached images & media might not appear in the netmonitor.
Could you provide an example of a page where that happens?

Thanks for the report.

Please make sure you don't have an active filter for the Network panel content (see the "All", "HTML", etc. button in the panel's toolbar).

If you don't have any filter active and you still don't see some requests please provide a test case so we can reproduce that on our machines. Otherwise there is not much we can do. Thank you!

You mentioned a video url in your comment. We have an issue open which relates to missing video requests here Bug 1554096.
Could you have a look at the use case and confirm if it matches yours.
Thanks
