Steps to reproduce:

Use Firefox normally with multiple tabs open. I had a few web pages open and a Youtube stream.

Actual results:

My system began to slow down heavily. Task manager showed Firefox using 14GB of my 16 GB system memory. Even when I closed down to 1 tab, the memory was still at 14GB. I had to close Firefox completely and restart to clear the memory. This has happened twice in the last week or so when this has never happened before. I am on Firefox 85.0.

This is not a webrtc thing. Looking at the memory report, the lion's share of the memory usage is due to an extension with ID f7eaa279-cc2d-4973-99d1-5b8c683aa3a9. I don't see any way to look an extension up by ID, and I do not see this ID anywhere in bugzilla.

I can move this to Core::Performance for further analysis, but I get the feeling that this is an extension bug.

Oh I was definitely watching a Youtube livestream when this happened. I forgot I had that extension enabled. That is definitely the issue. Thanks for checking into it.
