RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1415923

People

(Reporter: bdealvarenga, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 11.1; rv:86.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/86.0

Steps to reproduce:

When Mac is back from sleep Firefox is frozen.
It needs to be closed and restarted to work back again.

Note that this started with my new Mac mini with Big Sur.
The issue did not exist on my old iMac with OS Catalina.

Actual results:

Firefox freezes

Expected results:

Should not freeze

Just to clarify that it's Firefox that needs to be closed and restarted in order for it to work again, not the Mac.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

Not sure if this qualifies as a "freeze" or not, but Firefox becomes non-responsive to any inputs. It does let me quit and when it restarts the app is functional. I have found this to be the case in 11.0, 11.1 and now in 11.2. I am seeing this happening with a brand new Macbook Pro running Firefox 85.0.2.
