User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:85.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/85.0
Steps to reproduce:
Launching Firefox 85 on Windows 10.
Actual results:
There is a 50% chance that my Firefox 85 freezes immediately when I start it on Windows 10. The program window opens and immediately goes out of focus. Add-on symbols do appear in the menu bar, bookmarks do not. It needs four clicks into the window to have again the focus on it. The task manager shows four FF processes, one of them unresponsive.
Same behaviour with a fresh profile with default settings and without add-ons.
Expected results:
Normal program start without freeze.
These symptoms definitely never happened to me with Firefox 84.0.2, so this problem seems to have been introduced with Firefox 85.
I just upgraded from 85.0 to 85.0.1 on Windows 7 - symptoms still persist; still as first described by "buggenzilla" above.

Hi, buggenzilla!
I was unable to reproduce this issue on latest Nightly version 87.0.a1 (2021-02-09)(64-bit) on Windows 10.
Could you please try on it and tell us your input? You can download it from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/
Also, you can attach your about:support data (Help > troubleshooting information > click "copy raw data to clipboard" button)

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Toolkit::Add-ons Manager' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Bug seems to be gone with 85.0.2.
I did many start-surf-exit cycles and didn't experience a single freeze.
Thanks to everybody involved in fixing it!

Unable to reproduce on the latest Nightly (87.0a1/20210210215051), Beta (86.0b8/20210209185733) or Release (85.0.2/20210208133944) under Windows 10 x64.
Seems the issue was resolved.
