Hello dear administrators! My name is Georgitsa Denis and I am the developer of the "Visual Bookmarks Online" extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en/developers/addon/onlinezakladki/), which on 05.02.2021 was blocked and removed from the add-ons catalog. I consider this action to be erroneous and ask you to return the add-on back to the catalog, below I will explain my reasons.

The add-on is blocked with the following wording: This add-on violates Mozilla add-on policies in various ways by collecting user auxiliary data and collecting search terms or intercepting search queries coming to a third-party search provider.

With which I fundamentally disagree, since the main purpose of our add-on (and this is indicated in the description of the extension) is to provide access to the website https://onlinezakladki.ru/. In addition to this, the add-on can take screenshots of saved sites, as well as store backups of bookmarks. It does not collect or intercept any user data. And this blocking is already unfounded!

As for the site https://onlinezakladki.ru/ itself, it has its own Privacy Policy, which was located there (on the add-on page), thus. users by installing the Add-on agree with it. And we also do not violate our policy within the site, we do not collect data on search queries, although we indirectly have the right to do so under the policy. And if we needed it, then it is legitimately implemented using services such as Yandex.Metrica or Google.Analitics, for this there is no need to use our own server capacities.

What does our site do?

At the moment when the user enters a search request and sends it, he goes to our server, where his regional affiliation (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus ...) is determined, custom search settings and then the request is redirected to the appropriate search engine (google.ru, google. com.ua, google.com, yandex.ru. yandex.ua, yandex.kz ...), this is done for the convenience of users and the server implementation is the most simple and concise. You can check it yourself if you go to the service from different countries.

To eliminate this conflict situation, we transferred this processing to the client side and are ready to provide any evidence that we have nothing to do with the collection of the information you specified, up to the provision of server logs. Our honor and reputation are more valuable to us.

Thus, I consider the actions on your part unlawful and the accusations untrue, in connection with which I ask you to restore the addition in the catalog and I will be very grateful to receive an apology from the person who initiated this blocking.

Best regards, Georgitsa Denis.
