Steps to reproduce

1. Go to gap.com register page: https://secure-www.gap.com/my-account/sign-in
2. On the register form fill all the requested fields and click on the "Create Account" button
3. Go to the passwords doorhanger and click on the username dropdown - note down all the candidates
4. Select another candidate for the username
5. Click again on the username dropdown

Expected result
All the username candidates should be available after changing the selection in step 4.

Actual Result
The first username candidate (the email address in this case) is lost after changing the selection in step 4.

Notes

• Reproducible on Chrome? No
• Regression-range: not a regression, reproduced on Fx80 (where the username candidates dropdown was implemented)

I can reproduce this on sites other than gap.com, this seems to be a general issue in the doorhanger.
