User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:85.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/85.0
Steps to reproduce:
Watching any video on youtube with Firefox. System is Kubuntu 20.04 x64
Actual results:
Trying to change video position (fast forwardor rewind) with mouse drag - it´s not working. The same with volume control - cannot change volume with mouse.
Expected results:
Movie position scrolling should work, also sound volume should change with mouse, as it worked before on previous versions of Firefox (don´t remember when exactly it happened) and as itś working in any other browser I´ve tested.

This video shows exactly what I mean. Regarding sound volume, it still can be changed rotating mouse wheel, but not with dragging.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

This seems to me more like an event related issue, maybe Firefox failed to propagate the mouse event to the page so that reporter couldn't drag the bar?

:Teimuraz Abashidze: thanks for reporting the issue. Couldn't reproduce it with Firefox 85 on Ubuntu 18.04.
Does the issue occur for you in Safe Mode?
If so, could you please try to reproduce it with an official Firefox build too (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/)? Kubuntu might use a custom one.

I´ve tried both.
In Safe Mode the situation is exactly the same (https://youtu.be/3sipezFeXbc)
In official Firefox Build all mouse controls work very well (https://youtu.be/ousuj29HVDs)
So it seems problem is some modifications made by Ubuntu team.

It could also be that some prefs are flipped. That could be checked by using a fresh profile.

Attempted to reproduce on 85.0.2, 74.0, 85.0 with Kubuntu 19(VM).
No issues on my part with default or while being logged into the Youtube/Firefox account(s).
One more thing that could be checked by Teimuraz Abashidze could be an attempt to log into Youtube on the official build as well even though it's unlikely.

I tested on my system (where problem exists) to log into Youtube on the official build. Result is the same - everything works well, as it should.
I tested on my another computer - Kubuntu 18.04 and Firefox 84 - everything works.
Then I updated Kubintu there to verison 20.04 and Firefox 85.0.1. Again everything works.
So it seems that problem exists on my main computer only.
Now I have to investigate, what is my problem. Maybe I have made some setting and it is the result.
Ill try to refresh firefox and then we
ll see ;)
I will report what happened.

I made refresh of Firefox and got back my extensions.
Now everything works. It seems this was result of some of settings customizations I have made.
Now everything is OK.
Thanx to everybody.
I think it can be closed now.
