User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:85.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/85.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Click the three bars 'Menu'
- Click 'Print...'
Actual results:
The print preview page opens and Firefox hangs.
With multiple page print jobs, after ~15s Firefox will respond again for ~4 seconds, before hanging again for ~15s.
I just tried to replicate on this page and Firefox hung indefinitely.
NOTE: Windows does not register that the application is 'not responding'. It's not a RAM or CPU issue. The Firefox application simply does not respond to keyboard or mouse clicks.
I've tried running in Safe mode: same problem.
I've tried reinstalling Firefox: same problem.
I do not have this problem in Chrome.
Expected results:
Normal mouse / keyboard responses so that I can print.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Printing: Output' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thanks for the bug report. Would you mind sharing the URI which cases the hang? Also it would be really helpful if you could take a profile. There is an instruction how to take profiles, https://profiler.firefox.com/ . Thanks!

Hi there. Thank you for looking into this - but the problem is already fixed! Since I posted only 4 days ago, Firefox has released a new 'pop up' Print dialog and the problem doesn't happen anymore. Phew!

Bug 1707454 is a new report of what sounds like a similar issue, for what it's worth.
