STRs:
- Join a web conference lobby like https://whereby.com/adsfgsdfgsdfg with 2+ cameras
- Click
Allow
in Firefox's permission prompt (if not prompted, revoke permission and goto 1) - Use the site's ⚙️ page to switch to camera 2
- Change your mind and click
Don't Allow
in the Firefox permission prompt that appears
Expected results:
- No change in permission. The site continues working with camera 1. The user may repeat step 3 successfully
Actual results:
- "Cam and mic are blocked". The site loses permission to all cameras, and gives up camera 1. The user is stuck.
Proposal:
- Don't Temporarily Block camera/microphone if site has Temporarily Allow (fixing this common user trap)
- Rename the
Don't Allow
button toNot Now
if site already has Temporarily Allow.
