Adding new metric type docs don't mention the changes that are required in the data platform (mozilla-pipeline-schemas, mozilla-schema-generator and jsonschema-transpiler). These are not strictly part of the SDK, but I think having this all in one place will help us "ramp up" our ability to add new metric types. I'm realizing a lot of this isn't documented anywhere.
Do we agree this is the right place to document this (despite it not being SDK-specific)?
