User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/87.0.4280.88 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Right click on DOM to see context menu, click on hamburger app menu

Actual results:

the background color for the Proton context menu is much darker than the background for the app menu. When using light mode, the context menu and app menu have similar background colors as to be indistinguishable.

Expected results:

The background color should be the same as (or similar to) the background color for the app menu

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Theme' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

@rtestartd, could you please evaluate the priority here?

Flags: needinfo?(rtestard)

The current implementation seems per spec where context menu is slightly darker than app menu. Please note that the "Proton Dark" theme is the intended new dark theme (not current "Dark").

Flags: needinfo?(rtestard)

I'll resolve this bug as WON'T FIX given that the UI is per spec, feel free to re-open if I interpreted incorrectly.
