The icon packs are platform specific.
OS/2 and Windows have completely different icon packs.
I had forgotten about this when I mentioned using icon packs.
So this ecomes an RFE to allow Os/2 to use Windows icons.
Severity: minor → enhancement
Summary: Replacement icons not used → RFE: allow OS/2 to use windows icons

Are icon packs still used at all? I haven't seen them mentioned in the last years and the URL is gone. (I am trying to close as many OS/2 bugs as possible to better concentrate on the remaining important ones...)

I tested one of these iconpacks and yes they work only for windows (windows.ico) and linux (xpm icons) and thats also said on the hompage, they even don't support mac. It would need someone to be involved directly at the mozdev site who wants to convert the icons to OS/2 ico format.

However, this is a different approach than that suggested by this RFE (and Mike's comment #2), which is to allow on-the-fly conversion or interpretation of Windows icons. I have converted the SkyPilot Classic icons myself, though with some shortcomings (lack of transparency, for one). This is not a preferred method of getting Windows icons visible in OS/2.
