if a web page is to display an image, and the file is either
not there or not an image file, mozilla displays nothing at all,
I would like mzilla to let me know there is an img src line
but it gets me no-where, M$-IE does this by displaying a little
icon in-place of the image, this tells me that there is supposed to
be an image which I can nt see. I think this is a good method.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://t2.technion.ac.il/~smeirm/bug1.html
2.
3.
Actual Results:
you see nothing caused by the command <img src="badimg.jpg">
Expected Results:
it shuld have displayed a small icon or smething
informing me there should be an image but yet mozilla is
unable t display it for what ever reason(the file is not there)
this is a request for an enhancement... (IMHO)
marking it as such
Severity: normal → enhancement
I am finding the exact same effect on eBay auction pages. Many image links are
off site referrals, and many also will not identify the file extention. I am
trying to hunt for a local way to fix it, as I have just un/installed every
build from 1.3a to 1.1 to coax my Win2k system to displaying them with no avail.
IE5.5 is just fine.
