User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/89.0.4389.90 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
- Run "full wayland" session on openSUSE Tumbleweed
- Go to any address with a text input field (e.g. search engine)
- Try to enter text
Actual results:
Text is not displayed unless you let Firefox lose input focus, e.g. click another application. Right after you click to another application the text you have written (not displayed) gets displayed. This happens without any kind of modification in preferences/extensions since this is a fresh Linux install.
Expected results:
Text being displayed as I type

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I have noticed the following additionally:
- Scrollbars in pages (e.g. webmail like fastmail) doesn't work
- Checkboxes doeesn't work
- Entire browser input fields (e.g. addressbar) are also laggy/unresponsive
This is all happening when Firefox is in focus
Please attach your about:support page, Thanks.

If you force enable webrender ON, this bug doesn't happen. As I said this was an unmodified, fresh Firefox install and it decides to use Basic on this hardware. Previously there was a horrible flicker bug when Wayland wasn't enabled so I force enabled it as first thing.
I see you're running on KDE so it's expected.
This should be fixed by new SW backend which is enabled by default on Firefox 93 (nightly).
