This happens only on the trunk...used to work on branch (nscp7)

I have real8 installed.

go to the url above, see that an Update dialog comes up...click OK at the end..

Result: clip does not play

expected: clip should play

This works for me on win 2k with RealPLayer 8 basic build 6.0.9.584.

Reporter, can you tell me what version and build you are running of Real please?

Also Reporter, would this work if you closed your browser (after the update) and
then re-try it?  I didnt have to, but I was curious if that allowed it to work
for you.

little bit of ground investigation with shrir (the reporter) and this works in
7/12 and doest work in 8/23.

This *IS* a regression, but when the regression occured is the question.  This
is ~40 day spread.  Does anyone have a build/builds within this time spread that
could help me narrow this down more?

update and works just fine.

ahh..I saw it one of av's e-mails about the 100% cpu bug that he says it's
trying to fetch a plugin for text/html. Log coming up....

The 302 redirect looks suspicious, but I only see the request that got 200
being delivered to the plugin in the debugger. Not sure what's going on here.
Maybe it's time to pull builds.

it looks like fix for bug 157796 causes server to redirect,
if the is no referrer the test case works, just copy it localy and test.
So this is not us this is the server side.

Hm....what to do here.....

This testcase works in both IE and Nav 4.x, but doesn't work in Opera. In fact,
it crashes Opera when I close the window.

I think setting the HTTP referrer may be one of those options we need to set on
a per plugin basis, maybe with default off for 4.x compatibility. Marking
depends of plug-in manager for now.
