User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:88.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/88.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Use Firefox Developer Edition (88.0b3) just fine
- Install nVidia driver update 460.67 from 450.102.04
Actual results:
- Weird black bar appears over content (see screenshot)
Regular Firefox 87 is NOT affected.
This happens on my home desktop PC (Ryzen 2700, RTX 2060) as well as on my work laptop (Thinkpad X1 Extreme, Intel i7 8th gen., GTX 1050 mobile), both elementary OS 5.1.7 Hera, in the same manner. Switching back to older driver version resolves the issue at hand.
Expected results:
- No black bar over content, website displays just fine.
Before I forget: switchin profiles or redownloading FF DE had no impact.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.
The issue persists to this day with new FF DE (89.0b10) and also newer nVidia drivers (465.27 more specifically).

elementary OS
This seems to be the same as bug 1683341 comment 27.
Starting Firefox with GTK_CSD=0 environment variable should help.
