WFM too. Trunk build 2002092208 - WinXP-SP1 - Real One player plugin. Reporter : do you have real plugin listed in "about:plugins" ?
I use this -> http://wp.netscape.com/plugins/index.html --> ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english/6.1/windows/win32/xpi/nsrp8.exe Installation runs without any message. After Reboot - real plugin is NOT listed in "about:plugins" Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library is in "about:plugins" (File name: npdsplay.dll)
check that the Real dll and are in the plug-ins directory: nppl3260.dll nppl3260.xpt
Dont found this files anywehre in my local Harddrive. ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english/6.1/windows/win32/xpi/nsrp8.exe do not install these dll-files. in Mozilla\Plugin are: npnul32.dll NPSWF32.dll
When you do the install, how are you selecting to do that? Are you selecting the recommended install, or one of the other choices?
This file from netscape: - nsrp8.exe - dont ask anything. setup start ... copying ... finished. I found no files: nppl3260.dll nppl3260.xpt Realplayer 8.0; build 6.0 is installed too and work, but no PlugIn in Mozzi, Real-Plugin in IE works. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-AT; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020724
Roland: can you please go here: http://forms.real.com/netzip/getrde5_new_look.html?h=207.188.7.150&f=windows/RealOnePlayerV2GOLD.exe&p=RealOne+Player&j2re=true&tagtype=applet&type=dl and install the RealOne app directly, ensure the files get installed into the Mozilla plug-ins directory, open the browser, and go to Help|About Plugins and see if the plug-in is present.
The RealOne installer now works with Mozilla! Install Mozilla with the installer and then follow the link posted by beepe. Don't use the .zip or home-grown build because they don't write the right registry keys. For Real8, you'll have to copy from a Netscape install.
ok - RealOne works fine. Netscape should delete the Link to Real8: nsrp8.exe - this setup dont work with mozzi. (http://home.netscape.com/plugins/index.html) But Links to .wmv Files dont start immediately. click to http://195.124.11.47/kunstbar/0915.wmv starts downloadmanager and ask open with ...mplayer2 (video/x-ms-wmv). downloadmanager download whole file. IExplorer starts mplayer and play file live and donwload during playing .....
Roland, that link wirks perfectly for me, maybe you needed to exit the app and come back to reset things. Since the Real folks have resolved the install issue and Roland was able to get the install to work with the RealOne install, I am marking this fixed. If you disagree please reopen and please state why.
