The expanders are the buttons in the Bookmarks Panel that have downward arrows next to the Location menulist and the Tags text input.

The button's border-radius is trying to be set to 4px here: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/05cea55db68db7a3c8531cadaa169e46176e3983/browser/components/places/content/places.css#6-10

, but it's being overridden here on macOS:
