User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:88.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/88.0

Steps to reproduce:

I'm trying to slim down a firefox profile to be more useful as purely "social" apps container.

The main way i interact between the Browser-browser, and the social-browser is via left-clicking on a link and using Send-Link-to-Device

While that context-menu point is easily reachable via 'n'; there's still a lot of clutter

Actual results:

What I get is a context menu with "Search $FooEngine for "https://x…", which in addition to being not very useful in this profile, is the longest text in the context menu

Expected results:

I would like to be able to either disable this context menu item, or globally disable Search in a profile

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Search

Since this is an Enhancement I will set it to New to gain more visibility.

Hi, thank you for the suggestion. However, we do not generally add options for disabling menu items or other small items because doing so would increase the complexity of the product and make it harder to maintain. Whilst we do give some options, we are unable to give an option for everything.
