I am using Nightly 89.01 and the Firefox Dark theme on MacOS Big Sur. When I open Nightly, I see a notification badge on the application menu, but the application menu icon has disappeared.

Mark, do you know what's happening here?

I can't think of a reason why this would happen. It's looked fine on my mac and looking at the CSS I don't see anything that seems out of place.
Meridel, is this the restart required notification or something else? The white box next to the address bar also seems out of place. Are you having any other graphical issues? Does this happen on each update or just the one time?

fwiw that's the new Synced Tabs toolbarbutton icon.

I was unable to replicate this on macOS or Windows using latest Nightly. Can you provide steps for replication? Thanks

Steps to reproduce provided above. Yep, it is the restart required notification. I since completed the restart in Nightly and so I am unable to reproduce it now, and the badging looks fine in Beta dark mode.
I still have my Nightly Proton prefs flipped so perhaps it was broken because of that? Since it looks fine in Beta and on Mark's computer, I think we can close this bug for now and I will let you know if I experience this issue again.
I wonder if this bug is a variant of bug 1585970...

Not convinced this is graphics related. We have a see also to the other bug so I'll leave classification alone.
