RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1575195

People

(Reporter: arne.anka, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:88.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/88.0

Steps to reproduce:

I have several recurring events.
Simply clicking such an event to only_display(!) the event's information triggers the dialog
"Edit Repeating Event"

Actual results:

A dialog appears requesting my decision wether I want to
Edit only this occurrence
or
Edit all occurences

Expected results:

Dialog should not appear.
After all, double clicking an event to simply display its contents is a perfectly normal operation.

And since edits are not applied automatically anyway, but need to be saved this dialog is completely out of place and logically can appear only after hitting the Save button.

This should be implemented in the next ESR release of Thunderbird. It has been implemented in bug 1575195.
