The following Firefox probes will expire in the next major Firefox nightly release: version 91 [1].
HTTP_TRAFFIC_ANALYSIS_3
networking.data_transferred_v3_kb
What to do about this:
- If one, some, or all of the metrics are no longer needed, please remove them from their definitions files (Histograms.json, Scalars.yaml, Events.yaml).
- If one, some, or all of the metrics are still required, please submit a Data Collection Review [2] and patch to extend their expiry. There is a shorter form for data collection renewal [3].
If you have any problems, please ask for help on the #data-help Slack channel or the #telemetry Matrix room at https://chat.mozilla.org/#/room/#telemetry:mozilla.org. We'll give you a hand.

Given that we have extended this probe twice, I am wondering that if we want to make this probe permanent?

Please extend. As far as permanent probe, I would say yes, but sending to Arthur to confirm.

Ed, you might want to also submit a patch to change expires_in_version to never.
Also this one.

The renewal form cannot be used to make a collection permanent (as it doesn't contain all the necessary information that permanent collections require, like the name of the responsible individual). Please refile with the full form
Attaching full request form to make probes permanent.

I triggered the landing.
You can usually set the Checkin needed tag on the revision and someone will land it for you.
