Details

Using mozci and the results from test selection, we can give sheriffs suggestions about most likely causes of test failures.

In the long term, we could even trigger try pushes with a backout of the likely cause, and if the backout is green apply it to autoland.

This has been implemented in mozci, with a notification about bad pushes to sheriffs.
