From https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/n03s4h/when_starting_firefox_every_pagetab_is_blankwhite/
I run Firefox 88 on an Ubuntu 20.04.02 LTS. When I tired to open firefox earlier today it tried to load open my previously closed tabs (GitHub, Medium pages). But it looked like it was frozen. I tried creating a new tab but nothing showed up. Trying to enter text in the URL bar doesn't work either. If I change to a different application window, there is a chance that my page might render, but I can't scroll either. When I was clicking on different tabs the Window changed to match the title of the page, but that was it, no other rendering. this sounds like some sort of GPU/rendering/updating bug to me.

Botond - you appear to have the same device ID (0x5916) somewhere. If you could give it a shot on Linux (preferably Ubuntu 20.04.02) + FF 88 (with WR enabled), that would be great!
Marking as S2 until we know more. Seems a bit worrying.

I do have a laptop with 0x5916 device. I don't have Ubuntu 20.04 installed on it, but rather Debian 10. I tried running Firefox 88 (current release channel) on it with WebRender enabled, and it seems to be working fine (I didn't see any specific STR in the post besides "open some tabs and switch between them"; I also checked restoring my tabs after a restart and that worked fine as well).

This could be a duplicate of bug 1710400 - Asif, do we have a way to confirm that?

I reached out to the user - if I don't hear back, we can mark this one as incomplete.
