Build ID: 1999102208 As a result, I can't connect to SSL enabled servers Steps to reproduce: 1. Do a clean install (delete Seamonkey folder and mozregistry.dat files) 2. Run browser 3. Go to secure site: e.g. http://www.etrade.com and click on login 4. Dialog box pops up asking me to locate security module By default security module should be installed without requiring user to separately download and install it.
SSL is getting installed as part of default package for all install options. Doug, is this because something is still not hooked up in SSL?? Or, is this because we're not installing tasksExtension.xul due to xul overlay not in???
Whiteboard: [PDT+]
tasksExtension.xul is installed with AIM component, until we have xul overlay to resolve this problem correctly.

I'm running today's 1999102908 build and this is not quite fixed. The PSM files are being installed, but I still get the dialog asking me to locate them. So it looks like the files aren't being registered. To reproduce this I recommend doing a clean install. E.g. delete: Seamonkey directory, mozregistry.dat, and users50 directory first. Then go to a secure site. You'll see the dialog appear asking you to locate the file. Reopening the bug.
I went through your steps to be sure I had deleted everything and reinstalled (all, nav alone, typical and complete) All download and install security and psm. I was able to loginto my etrade account. But, earlier this week when I first tested security, I got the dialog you mentioned, I located the psm.exe file and proceeded from there. I wonder-Dougt or Cathleen, can you answer-is this action getting recorded somewhere that I don't delete everyday (users50, seamonkey, psm directories and mozregistry.dat)?
Today was the first time I ever enabled the PSM, so maybe the PSM info is stored somewhere else.
Also, I installed using seamonkey32.exe Is this the right installer?
yes, that should give you psm and security, I am waiting to see what Doug or Cathleen have to say

Summary: [dogfood] By default security module is not installed → Dialog box pops up asking me to locate security module
I should do my fair share of looking for cartman before bugging the user. Accepting. I am not sure that this is DOGFOOD anymore, I am going to remove it from the summary. If there are any objections please set it back. (I am leaving [PDT+] cause I really do not know what they heck it is used for).
The resolution is marked fixed. Is this correcct; has the bug been fixed?
