User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/90.0.4430.93 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
I made a codepen as demonstration: https://codepen.io/heymeindert/pen/oNZjwPa
Step 1: add a video to your html
Step 2: add an overlay with mix-blend-mode above your video
Step 3: open it in Firefox browser on a Mac or Macbook
Actual results:
The overlay with mix-blend-mode works perfectly in every single browser and every device, except for the combination of Firefox & Mac. Here it will show a solid background-color instead of the multiply mix-blend-mode
Expected results:
It should use mix-blend-mode property instead of ignoring it
Bluebomber on Stackoverflow (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/67481893/firefox-mix-blend-mode-bug-on-video-mac?noredirect=1#comment119293348_67481893) has this bug too and found out that if you add opacity 0.98 to the video, the mix-blend-mode starts working..

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Cocoa' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Thanks for your report. I think this is a dupe of bug 1708444 which is fixed in nightly and beta and so will be fixed when firefox 89 is released on June 1. If you'd like to use a version of Firefox with this fixed until then you can use the beta or nightly channel.
Thank you for your reply.
Will all Firefox users be automatically updated to firefox 89, or should I keep using Bluebomber's solution by adding opacity 0.98 to the video?

All users should be upgraded to firefox 89 (and 90, etc).
