Steps to reproduce:

I highlighted some text on a web page and wanted to print the selected text. The print dialog opened and I pressed print. Nothing happened after clicking print. Using the native print dialog does not work. Activating the cups socket and dbus sockets does also not fix the issue. The chromium flatpak from flathub has printing working properly.

Short steps:

  1. Select text on a webpage.
  2. Right click on the selection and select the print option.
    3.1 Click print in the dialog that opened.

or

3.2 Click open native print dialog.
3.3 Click print.

System Information:

Distribution: Fedora 34
Desktop: Gnome 40
Session: Wayland
Firefox Version: 88

Actual results:

Nothing got printed. The print dialog just closed after clicking print.

Expected results:

The printer should have received the print job and should have printed the text.
