User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:89.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/89.0
Steps to reproduce:
I openend a fullscreen-video on Youtube.
Other triggers that cause the issue:
Opening Firefox in Troubleshooting-Mode
Possible Reasons:
This doesn't happen when I open a new window with a single Youtube Tab,so maybe the 100+ open Tabs in my session are causing this.
Maybe it is the fault of my window-manager (i3wm)
Actual results:
The height of the tab-strip triples (see attached screenshot).
The only fix I found as of now is to restart Firefox.
Things I tried that didn't work:
Enter Firefox fullscreen-mode
Expected results:
The tap-strip should keep it's original height.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

This is likely a duplicate of bug 1704404. Can you check the open tabs and see if any is using characters that look different?

So it at least happens if I turn a Youtube-tab fullscreen, that has only ASCII chars, I'll check if any other tags have bad chars and will try again after closing those.

Confirmed, one other tab had the "infinity" symbol in it's title (not the tab that went fullscreen).
Interesting: In the tab-list provided by the add-on "tab-list button enhanced" the tab that was the cause is also displayed way too high (4 or 5 lines maybe?) and can thus be easily detected. The built in tab-list can handle the character for some reason.
The add-on can be found here:
