User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20020927
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20020927
When opening the URL referenced above in a tab, it loads fine. After switching
to a different tab and then returning to the tab with that URL referenced above,
Mozilla clobbers my CPU Monitor. The QuickTime VR images load on top of the
previous tab and they do not function. A screen shot is attached. I must force
quit and relaunch Mozilla to use it.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load the URL referenced above in a tab.
2. Switch to a prevoius tab.
3. Switch back to the tab with the URL referenced above.
Actual Results:
QuickTime VR movies in URL referenced above get placed on top of content from
previous tab and do not function. Mozilla is clobbered.
Expected Results:
The other tab should have loaded properly with working QuickTime VR content.

Duplicate of bug 116766?

I don't think it is a dup of the bug from the previous comment. That bug, as
far as I can tell, has to do with flickering of a plugin from a previous tab on
the active tab. There is no flickering with this bug. In this situation
mozilla is being clobbered, where the other bug doesn't seem to be that severe
from what I'm reading.
I'm not a programmer though, so I don't have the last say on this point.
WorksForMe using FizzillaCFM/2002092611 on 10.1.5. Mozilla continues to function.
Jonathan, can you reproduce this problem using another Mozilla user profile?

A new profile does not rectify the problem. It does not occur in Communicator
(adding 4xp keyword), Netscape 6.2.3, or Netscape 7 (OS 9 or X).
Keywords: 4xp

I think this is the same as bug 116766,
reassigning to Peter L. who should know.

I don't see this bug. I see bug 171382 but I don't see the problem described
here using build 2002093010 on OSX.
How can this be 4xp when 4x didn't even have tabs? What do you mean by 'clobber'?
Unless you've got a better testcase or way to reproduce so that we can see this,
lets close this as a dup of bug 171382, hoping that will fix this as well. If it
does not, then open this bug at that time.

Clobber - CPU usage hits 100% and Mozilla is completely unresponsive to anything
one tries to do. The beach ball spins into inifinity.
Yes, Communicator does not have tabs. However, if I tried to duplicate this
with windows, I could. Using new windows did not create the problem in
Communicator. Hence, 4xp.
I'm not a programmer (nor will I claim to be) so I can't provide a better testcase.
