Hi Yan,
Can you please elaborate on what do you mean when you say map positioning? Please elaborate more about the actual and expected results as well. Thanks!

Hi Timea Cernea,
Actual status:
I've tried many time to click the location button to show my location on Google map, then I found the question about the internet speed reduced 10-25%.
expected:
My home internet speed is not affected by Google map service or others.
Long time ago I found web app used geolocation to get location with Google map service or directly to use Google map to click my location, they always get result slower than Chrome browser.

I see, I also checked the internet speed before and after going on Google maps and let the geolocation service find my location.
Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce this issue. I had a stable 130 Mbps upload/ 140 Mbps download before and after doing the steps from above.
Can you please try again after disabling your addons or maybe with a new Firefox profile?
I created a new profile and disabled the addons, but result as the same ever.
I've also did a test between two browsers, firefox stable and deverloper edition are both launched, and firefox stable has test Google map service and firefox deverloper edition is going to test speed on www.speedtest.net, but result as the same ever.
I've tried to log the process between the speed test, but it file size is more than 190MB, this page disallows the size.
Tha's all, thanks in advance.

What WiFi adapter are you using? Is it in your laptop or is it a plug-in USB one?
Does the slowness go away if you close the page using geolocation before doing the speed test?
It built-in in the laptop, and it supports MU-MIMO, my wireless router is also support MU-MIMO.
My internet speed is 100/40 MB
Re-launched the browser, then the speed is normal, so it's obviously the geolocation or others take effect the internet speed.
Last time I forgot to tell you that I had disabled the Trendmicro antivirus software.
Thanks.
Why Firefox get geolocation result delay 2s - 8s than Chrome ? Do you know the detail?
I had ever switch new profile to test, and no found any exciting result.
In the meantime, I launched the Chrome browser to test the internet speed on www.speedtest.net, unfortunately the result same with Firefox. (Firefox is still running currently)
If Firefox is re-launch, then test again on Chrome will become normal situation. So we can realize that Firefox has hold on some bandwidths.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% sure if this is expected behaviour.
It might just be the way the geolocation provider works?
Moving over to geolocation to confirm.

Couldn't reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 20.04 with current Nightly.
I'm not sure how to narrow down this issue. Perhaps recording a profile using Firefox Profiler could give more insights.
Yan Hui: is it possible for you to record and upload such a profile?

I found the key point about the issue, I used cable connection without the wireless router, then it's working well.
I tried to configured the setting of wireless router, but still the same result.
Thanks for helping from everyone, it's over.

I can't open those files. Firefox Profiler offers a button to upload the profile which will return a shareable link.

I see.
I think that I don't need to upload profile file again, as I mentioned before, this issue causing by wireless router.
This issue can mark as resolve.
Thank you.
