As part of Bug 1686071, we added some telemetry to determine if a password generator used the new improved password rules or if it was generated by our default rules. In order to accurately assess the benefit to our users, we should add more detailed telemetry to ensure that when a password is generated by specific rules that the user is saving the password without editing it. This is a historic point of friction, where the password manager generates a password but the user needs to edit it to pass a website's rules, which can be a frustrating experience.
