This is quite the texture cache stress test!

It doesn't run great for me in chrome either, FWIW

This affects all types of animations, including videos and youtube.

Odd. Different story for me.

Firefox: ~35-130fps (layout.frame_rate=1000)
Chrome: ~80-270fps (chrome.exe --max-gum-fps="1000")

Firefox with Layers: ~130-260fps. (gfx.webrender.force-legacy-layers=true)
Amazing how much better the legacy Layers min fps is than Chrome's! It's a shame we're so desperate to get rid of it. :-(

The animation runs at ~60FPS on chromium and Firefox averages 20FPS.

How is chromium able to handle it so well compared to Firefox?
