We need to do some changes to support esr91

esr78 prior art in Bug 1646588

• remove old code: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/8060c50c044b (I assume this would not be esr 52, but 68? - searchfox is your friend)
• add support in-tree: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/225cc6d94570
