I can reproduce the issue in Nifgrly92.0a1 Windows10 when gfx.webrender.software= true.
OS: macOS → All

Also reproducible on Linux with gfx.webrender.software=true as expected.

Andrew, any ideas if this is related to image tiling, or maybe picture cache tiling therein? The background image size looks quite large, approx 1200x4800...
