Chimera 0.5 build 2002100104 crashed twice as soon as I hit the download button
on from the following location:
http://www.myriad-online.com/cgi-bin/downloader.pl?aliasscript=scripts%2Fmeloupld.txt&pagelang=gb&product=Melody&sourcewindir=*%2Ffragments%2Fwin&sourcemacdir=*%2Ffragments%2Fmac&action=prepare&verbose=off&machine=Mac+OS+X&ismachine=on&islanguage=on&language=English%A0&isbase=on&base=Light&demo=A+few&istemplate=on
I would attach the crash log but don't see the method for doing so....

this is the 2nd crash stack in Quickdraw when downloading i've seen today.
something is seriously wrong here.
Ann, please edit the crash log to only contain the last crash report written.
You attached the whole log containing every crash report Navigator has generated
on your Mac since you enabled crash reporting.

Yup, this is the one I've seen several times. We're crashing in QuickDraw, which
is being called by the OS when trying to draw an icon in the Save dialog.

I was unable to reproduce this crash in the 2002100304 build (or the 2002092404
build). I am using OS 10.2.1 and saving to my desktop.

Just had a crash in QDIsPortBuffered, a different place than the attached log.
It is not a reproducible error (i.e. I cannot provide steps that will lead to
it). Since 28/9 to now I have had 4 crashes of this kind. Similar on another
machine.

chris, could you try to figure out if this started on the 26th as well? i wonder
if all our qd crashes started with that checking from bnesse.

I believe the regression occurred with the 9/27 build since I can't reproduce
using the 9/26 build.

In order to reproduce the crash (for me), I must do the following:
1) Go to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/chimera/nightly/latest/
2) Click on Parent Directory link
3) Click on a directory to open
4) Click on a Chimera.dmg.gz link
5) Click Cancel button
6) Click on Parent Directory link
7) Click on another directory again
8) Click on a Chimera.dmg.gz link

petersen, can you try to repro this again? i still can't, and bnesse landed his
workaround for the regression the date you started seeing this.
i still can't repro it no matter how hard i try (though i do have the
GetPortHilite fix in my tree)

Ok, I was able to reproduce this bug on earlier builds (10/3 and 10/6) using two
different macs. Using the 2002-10-10-14 and 2002-10-11-04 builds on these same
machines, I can not reproduce this crash. Marking verified.
