Steps to reproduce:
- Watch a live stream at Twitch.tv with streamer-chosen buttons on the stream that do things like turn on closed captioning
- Try to switch to picture in picture mode
Actual results:
Sometimes, the picture in picture mode button doesn't bother to show up (as seen in attached screenshot). Sometimes, clicking on it does nothing. It would be nice if right clicking on the video had a picture in picture mode option, because this isn't working.
Expected results:
Picture in picture mode button should have shown up and worked. Picture in picture mode should be in right click menu for videos.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Toolkit::Video/Audio Controls' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I was able to reproduce this but I couldn't figure out why.
In the short term, you can use the "Ctrl + Shift + ]" keyboard shortcut to put the video in to the picture-in-picture mode.

Issue may be caused by the use of overlays/extensions.
We have tried to play around with the toggle's position for Twitch in the past, but there are sometimes persisting issues with showing/selecting the toggle over a video (see Bug 1655802 as an example). Two workarounds are to use the keyboard shortcut or the more recently implemented urlbar icon.
Going to close this as a dupe of Bug 1655802.
