Per conversation with Olli, not that many pages enter the bfcache, so we might want to try to make bug 1677324 work without the bfcache. This might be a matter of removing the retainPaint conditional when process-switching and keep the old layers / BrowserParent around in the parent process for a bit longer.

Downgrading this bug from a hard to soft blocker because Emilio says he hopes that most navigations would either be in process or in the bfcache.

Deferring this bug from Fission Milestone M8 to MVP. This bug doesn't need to block our Release channel experiment (M8) and we wouldn't uplift a fix to Beta 92 this late in the beta cycle.
