There are 3 items selectable for header and footer.
If an item becomes too long it is cutted.

Often long URLs are cutted, although there's enough space when entries are
aligned more carefully.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Print page mentioned above.
2. The URL printed in the header is incomplete and unusable to revisit the page.

Actual Results:
2. The URL printed in the header is incomplete and unusable to revisit the page.

Expected Results:
Enlarge space for items when other items do not use their space or items are
disabled.
The space alotted is either 100%, 50% or 33%, having it work harder at getting
them to fit would be nice.

I guess this depends on bug 286443 (or one of its blockers) then.
Depends on: css-paged-media
